This design purportedly provides 360° protection of the connector and the cable against electromagnetic interference, and gives users fully shielded and secure signal connections. Product features include an operating temperature range of -25 C to +85 C, high shock and vibration resistance, and IP67 ratings approvals. Capable of withstanding high-pressure/steam-jet cleaning, the male and female connectors can be used even in the harshest environmental conditions. 1) The molded body and housing are made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). 2) The insert is either of the same material (Profibus cordsets) or PA66. 3) The contacts are gold plated. 4) The molded cables, made of PUR or PVC, are available in lengths of 2, 5, 10 and 15 meters.
